A Spray that You Can Use on Your Cat

Sometimes it’s a good idea to use a spray on your pet either between monthly treatments or when you are working on getting rid of a particularly difficult infestation of fleas.

It’s a gentle way to kill the fleas without giving your cat something chemical in their systems.  The spray will last up to 30 days but can be reapplied anytime if you need it sooner.

This formula is waterproof and long lasting and will provide a lot of relief for your cat or kitten.  Frontline is a well respected and well known name in flea control and this spray is evidence that quality is their concentration.

Age Requirements of the Pet

You can use Frontline Spray on kittens and cats as young as 8 weeks of age but not any younger.  It can be used on dogs and puppies as well of the same age range.

Things to Watch Out for

This is not a product that you want to swallow or have sprayed in your eyes.  If it does get splashed or sprayed in your eyes it can cause severe burning and eye irritation.  You need to use it in a well ventilated area, preferably outside and not inhale its fumes while you are spraying your pet.  Make sure that you wash your hands with soap and water immediately after using it so no residue remains on your hands. Ideally you should not apply this product without wearing latex gloves for protection.

When using this for the first time on your pet, be sure to watch for signs of sensitivity or allergic reaction.  These symptoms can be:

  • Excessive scratching that doesn’t go away
  • Eye irritations
  • Lethargy
  • Redness and irritation
  • Scabs or sores where you have sprayed the spray
  • Breathing difficulties
  • Vomiting

Any of these signs or anything else that is not in the realm of your cat’s behavior should be reported immediately to your veterinarian.   Don’t forget to not store the extra spray from open heat or flame as it is very flammable.  Keep it away from children and other pets as well.

What does it Kill/Repel

Frontline Flea and Tick Spray kills adult fleas and newly emerged fleas so they can’t lay anymore eggs, ticks, mites, and lice. It does not kill flea eggs but with the right use, you will kill anything that hatches and if you do this enough, you will get it taken care of so infestations are not happening anymore.
