Targets Flea Eggs and Larvae

PreCor IGR is designed to target the immature stages of the flea such as the egg stage and the larvae stage.  It works by halting the progress of any development; eggs won’t hatch and larvae with no develop into adult fleas.

It is not meant to be used alone since it does not target the adult flea or the pupae which turn into adult fleas. Using this product will control pre-adult fleas for up to 7 months.

It is in concentrate form so you mix it with water to have the mixture you need. (1 gallon of water to 1 ounce of PreCor IGR.)

Your best course of action is to get a head start on the flea season if possible by treating prior to when you see any fleas. By combining PreCor IGR with a monthly preventative for your pet and a product that attacks adult fleas and pupae you are completely covered when fleas do start to show up.

What does it Kill/Repel

PreCor IGR stunts the growth of flea eggs and larvae, preventing them from developing any further.  It doesn’t kill them but it inhibits the growth so they can’t produce any more fleas

Speed of Results

Once the treatment is done, if a flea egg drops off your pet or larvae is present it will prevent maturation right away so there is a noticeable change in the flea population in the very first week. The effects last up to 7 months, continuing to prevent maturation of any eggs that are laid and any pupae that hatches from their cocoons.

Application Method and Instructions

Precor IGR Insect appUsing PreCor IGR is not overly complicated at all.  You will start by preparing a solution that is made by combining one ounce of PreCor IGR with 1 gallon of water.  The best way to do this is to add ½ a gallon of water to the jug, add the PreCor IGR and then the other ½ gallon of water. Shake the container thoroughly to mix the solution.

If you are going to be using a spray tank the mixing directions are similar but you will add the product to the tank mix first, mix it up, add PreCor IGR, mix again and complete the tank filling process.  The last thing you will do is mix everything that is in the tank up before us.  1 gallon of the solution will take care of 1500 square feet of space. Use a low pressure sprayer for indoor use. The best is the kind with a fan tip.  You will need to treat all of the areas in the home that are being affected by fleas.  These areas include:

  • Carpets
  • Furniture
  • Pet bedding
  • Pet sleeping areas
  • Throw rugs
  • Under furniture cushions
  • Under furniture
  • Under beds
  • In the bottom of closets

If there are any other areas that you know need treating, be sure to treat those as well.  Let everything dry thoroughly before allowing animals and children back into the room.

The best thing to do is to remove family members and other animals while treating the e house and stay out of the house for awhile.  Once you let everything dry, air out the house for about 20-30 minutes before resuming normal activities.

Ingredients Used
